Born in Boston, Massachusetts, now residing in Phoenix, visual artist Diamin Nicole has always been a creative soul. Dabbling in various artistic backgrounds, from photography to drawing and painting, she has always used art as a way to express herself. Through her journey of self-love and acceptance, she has embraced painting as her practice of choice, using acrylics as her primary medium. She is inspired to create for the little Black girl who doesn’t understand the depths her beauty possesses. Creating imagery of coiled curls that defy gravity and complexions that have been kissed by the sun, Diamin Nicole wants her art to be that boost of confidence to love the skin you are in. For the Black woman who still holds any uncertainty, her art will be the reminder that “You too are a MASTERPIECE”.
